Ways to get involved - MOMENTUMSunday Morning ABF
Momentum meets as a large group for our Adult Bible Fellowship in Room 102 at 10:30am. During this time, we take part in Bible study, intercessory prayer, listen to announcements about future events, and fellowship! Beginning July 11, we will begin a new teaching series; the series will feature a number of leaders from the Village Church of Gurnee. Come join us! It's a great place to start getting connected (or just come for the coffee and donuts). Email us for more information about our Sunday Mornings! LifeGroups Small groups are a place to be known and to know others as true friends. They provide a safe place to pray for each other, apply God's truth, and encourage each other toward a deeper relationship with Jesus. Currently, there are five gender-specific LifeGroups within Momentum. The groups meet on various nights of the week and in different locations in Lake County. Email us for more information on LifeGroups. Service Momentum members enjoy helping others and working alongside one another. A few examples include work days at VCG, serving the homeless through P.A.D.S. of Lake County, helping with BINGO at a nursing home, and joining the large church community with a multi-church Lake County outreach. Service projects often take place inside small group communities as well. Email us with questions! Community Lunch The last Sunday of the month, after ABF, we go as a group to a Gurnee area restaurant. It's a great time of connection and getting to know each other better. 'Third Friday' (Prayer & Worship) Third Friday is a time when we can get together for corporate prayer. Join us as we gather the third Friday of every month. Email us for information about our next Third Friday. Retreats Every spring and winter we venture into the great outdoors for a retreat weekend. Each retreat has a different look and feel to it. Past trips have included speakers, team building, and free time with various outdoor activities. Our next retreat will be the Momentum Winter Retreat (January 28-30, 2011) at the Lake Geneva Conference Center. Email us for information about the 2011 Winter Retreat! |
