Global Mission Vision

Catch the Vision! The VCG Global Missions Team, under the leadership of the Great Commission pastor, exists to:

Cultivate within VCG God's passion for winning the lost and building His Church worldwide (John 3:16-17; 2 Peter 3:9; Revelation 7:9; 15:4).
Call the VCG family to regularly engage in global missions (Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 16:15; Romans 16:26; 2 Corinthians 5:11-20).
Mobilize Village Church to commit unreservedly to whole-hearted, sacrificial partnerships in fulfilling the Great Commission (Philippians 1:4-6; 4:18; 2 Corinthians 8:2-4; 3 John 5-8).

We trust that God will foment in His people a global ministry focus founded on the study of His Word, a consistent commitment to intercessory prayer, and the development of a personal covenant relationship with VCG global partners and their sending agencies. If you want to grow in this regard, here are some steps YOU can take:

Learn: Attend seminars, check out VCG library missions books and missionary videos, participate in the monthly brunches, and meet our missionaries when they come to minister.
Pray: Individually and in small groups, pray for VCG missionaries and for those throughout the world who are lost.
Partner: With the VCG Missions Team, 'adopt' a VCG-supported missionary (covenant to pray and encourage), and offer practical help to a missionary while on home assignment (such as providing housing, furniture, or the use of a car).
Go: Participate in progressive cross-cultural ministry opportunities, such as summer ministry teams, short-term mission trips, and the VCG missions apprenticeship program; provide care or assistance for missionaries on the field; become a career missionary.
