Welcome to Kid Zone! We are Village Church of Gurnee’s Children’s Ministry …where Kids Connect with Christ. Kid Zone Ministry is a place where kids from birth to fifth grade learn all about Jesus and His love for them! We want to honor God by sharing His love for children and helping them to know Jesus, follow Jesus and share Jesus with others. We accomplish this mission in a FUN, CREATIVE and KID-FRIENDLY way so that each and every kid who comes to Kid Zone Sunday mornings and/or mid-week wants to come back for more!!
The Kid Zone staff and volunteers desire to make your child’s experience at Village Church a safe and enjoyable one! On your first visit, please come to the Kid Zone registration desk by the fish tank, which is just inside the southeast entrance of the building. Helpful volunteers will be at the desk ready to assist with getting your child into age appropriate classes for the morning. You can download our visitor registration form and bring it with you – or just fill one out when you arrive!
Our volunteers will make temporary nametags for your children and give you a parent card for the morning. This card has a number on it and is our way to contact you during the service if one or more of your children need you for any reason. This parent card is also our way of assuring your children’s safety at dismissal – make sure to bring it with you to collect your children.
On subsequent visits, please continue to begin your morning at the Kid Zone registration desk by the fish tank. Your visitor registration form will be on file (so no need to fill out another one) but you will still need temporary nametags and a parent card for the day. Once you have decided to make VCG and Kid Zone your church home, we ask that you fill out a Kid Zone registration form so we can make your children permanent nametags and permanent parent cards for you!
